Feed the World with a Single Egg

Writer: Veronica SparkVeronica Spark

Summary

You can’t feed the world with a single egg. But…

The mass production of animal products has been responsible for countless problems, including greenhouse gasses emissions, excess energy consumption, land and water pollution, deforestation, animal cruelty, bottomless slaughter, antibiotic resistance, and significant human health risks.

So Josh Tetrick started a food company that takes the live animal out of the equation of the food system.

His model does not require animal slaughter or a single drop of antibiotics. In a process called “cellular agriculture”, they take one cell from a healthy animal, grow the cell in a lab, and with a single cell, produce an unlimited amount of meat. And with his model, you can feed billions of people, with a single chicken.

So, you can.
