Get Ready for Global Entrepreneurship Week

This year's Global Entrepreneurship Week will take place November 13-19, 2023.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an annual event that takes place around the world to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship. It typically occurs in November and involves a series of activities, events, and competitions designed to inspire and support individuals to explore their potential as entrepreneurs.

During Global Entrepreneurship Week, various organizations, universities, businesses, and governments collaborate to organize events such as workshops, seminars, pitch competitions, networking sessions, and more. These activities aim to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, encourage innovation, and provide resources and support for those interested in starting their own businesses.

The primary goals of Global Entrepreneurship Week include:

  1. Inspiration: Encouraging people to think about entrepreneurship (and more specifically, social entrepreneurship) as a viable career path and empowering them to pursue their ideas.

  2. Education: Providing educational opportunities and resources to help individuals develop the skills and knowledge necessary for entrepreneurship (and in our case, social entrepreneurship).

  3. Connection: Facilitating networking and collaboration among entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and other key players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

  4. Support: Offering support services, guidance, and mentorship to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable businesses.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week initiative is a global movement that began in 2008. It is supported by various organizations, including the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), which serves as the coordinating body for the week's activities. GEW has grown significantly since its inception, with millions of participants and events taking place in over 170 countries.

Keep in mind that the specific activities and themes of Global Entrepreneurship Week may vary from year to year and from one location to another. If you're interested in participating, you can check back on our official website, or with local organizers for information about events happening in your area.
